Breathe yourself into the fullness

Atme dich in die Fülle

Do you wish for a full life? I am sure you do!
But where does it start? What do you need to draw from abundance

And how does that relate to breathing

I have long been fascinated by the power of breath

. Besides being your life-giver, the breath is also your crisis manager. Being familiar with the breath helped me more than 30 years ago not to break down at the fate of my little daughter. She came into the world with only 800 grams and fought for her life in front of me in the incubator. I felt myself convulsively holding my breath, and with it, my daughter’s life

Through my work as a yoga teacher, I am connected to my breath. I heard my own voice saying to me in the most desperate moments, „Let go, breathe out

. Sarina needs you. Breathe in and fill yourself with life force. Breathe out and imagine sharing that life force with her.“ This was a survival gift for me and my daughter. So, with conscious breathing, I created an anchor for myself that helped me to accept this fate step by step and to trust that my daughter will make it together with me.

Your breath is a wonderful teacher.

It is always there! From the first breath to the last, it keeps you alive!

However, although the breath is the source of life, we usually do not think about how we breathe and what influence it has on our lives.

Due to our fast-paced time, we are often under tension, out of breath

or short of breath, so to speak, and only realize in the evening how exhausted we are.

Your breath is more than just fresh air

The breath is your life energy and the barometer for your inner state. You feel this especially when you are in a crisis situation. Just as my time in the premature infant ward literally took my breath away, we instinctively hold our breath in a crisis. It’s the same when we’re under constant stress

What we feel is reflected in our breath.

Today I won’t give you any hints on how to breathe properly, I’ll do that later. Today I would like to give you as a gift how you can breathe „into fullness“

, because it is very close to my heart that you are well, no matter what is happening.

The frustration of our time is reflected in the lack and fears. We perceive this loss of trust that everything will be alright to the deepest inside and lose sight of what we really need. Being familiar with your breath, experiencing that there is enough air and energy for you, brings you back to fullness. Your body senses this and sends the signal to your nervous system, „There is enough, I can let go!“

Maybe you’ve heard this before or said it yourself,

Now take a deep breath!“ And if you observe carefully, you’ll see how most people first take a deep breath, puffing themselves up like a peacock and pulling all that air into their chest. They strain, then continue to breathe shallowly again, i.e., into the chest.

And this is exactly what doesn’t help, on the contrary, it contributes to even more tension. When you inhale with a tense face and tense posture, you’re signaling to your nervous system, I need to exert myself.“ This transmits as EVEN MORE STRESS

.

Add to that the fact that in stressful situations, we don’t exhale in a relaxed

manner to make room for the new inhale, but instead we breathe shallowly. It’s like a half-filled glass that’s still there from the day before and you want to fill it with fresh water. You can’t. You have to empty out the rest first so that you can then fill it with fresh water

And so it is with breathing!

Here are my THREE MOST IMPORTANT TIPS to experience the FULLNESS of your ATM

and enjoy more energy and zest for life:

1. The Break! Take several breaks each day and exhale. Consciously notice your next breath and continue breathing in your rhythm. The way you breathe is good.

2. Relax! Circle your shoulders, make funny faces, look once to the right and to the left, put your hands relaxed on your thighs.

3. Observe You have the inner ability to observe and it enables you to perceive the moment as it is. Anchor yourself in the moment with every breath, because only in the moment, in the here and now you can perceive and enjoy the fullness.

in my video. There you can also practice your 🌴 Tiny Island with me.

Take these three tips with you on your 🌴 Tiny Island

The Silent Minute – Breathe Yourself into Fullness

  • Sit upright, relax, and if you like, close your eyes.
  • Breathe out, breathe in and breathe out.
  • Experience your natural flow of breath.
  • The way you breathe is good.
  • Allow a small pause at the end of the inhale before exhaling.
  • Breathe in – small pause – breathe out.
  • Now also allow a small pause at the end of the exhalation before you breathe in again.
  • Inhale – small pause – exhale – small pause.
  • Repeat.

Let go of the ‚doing‘. Become an observer and experience how, after the small pauses, the inhalation and exhalation happen as if by themselves

Experience the breath as a gift that you receive. You only have to accept it and let it happen. Feel cared for and in abundance

.

Open your eyes and take this experience into your day.

If you have one more minute, ask yourself:

Can I let the breath happen? Just be relaxed here and feel how the breath comes and goes? Notice how it happens, or do you want to help?

It’s not about doing right or wrong, it’s about noticing yourself. Only in this way can you change something.

The fullness of the breath is a gift for you. Integrate a few ‚still minutes‘

every day and you will not only get to know yourself better, but also feel full of energy.

Susanne, a student of mine, said after this exercise

„I realized that I am afraid that the next inhalation will not come. Therefore, I strain and take over the inhale. I can’t wait to see if it happens on its own. It’s the only way I can be sure I’m getting enough air.“

Susanne, a student of Tiny Ilands

She could also recognize through this perception that she is shaped in her life by this fear that there is not enough for her

. There she compensates this lack by doing everything for others far beyond her limits, often making herself small and putting herself in the background.

I wish you that your breath becomes your teacher who shows you what fullness means! To live from fullness is the secret of the moment and of a happy life.

Love,

Manuela
